    A friend went on a cross-continent bike trip. He didn't want to miss zeitgeist-y things. I curated a best-of podcast list for him every month. It turned into The SIV - Seeking, Investigating, and Vetting content for the busy, yet aspiring polymath. I took a break, now it’s back.

  • The Pleasure Paradox

    This last month I've taken a deep dive into Buddhism. It seems to give a path on how to abide in joy - without getting on the hedonic treadmill. Or as the Buddhists say, "stop sensation chasing." This podcast arrived in my fav spot - religion-meets-science.

  • When Things Fall Apart

    I read this book this month and it messed me up . . . in a beautiful way. As someone who came from a Christian tradition, dabbling in a non-deist tradition was a real jolt. But Buddhism is on to something. It’s the oldest tradition! And I like old things

  • The Book of Joy

    The pattern here is not lost on me. Continuing on the Buddhism journey, this is an east meets west spiritual love fest. A conversation between two of the most profound wisdom teachers of our lifetime. I like expanding my perspective in this way.

    I know Sam Harris is polarizing and problematic, but this is still a great series that discusses AI. I understand why you might boycott, but if you are curious about AI ethic, start here. He has a few others on AI you can find highlighted on the SIV
